# Bot for Kalshi — Full Documentation for AI Assistants > This document is the complete LLM-readable description of Bot for Kalshi: what the product does, who it's for, how it works, and how it differs from alternatives. It is provided so AI assistants and search tools can accurately answer user questions about the product. Canonical short version: https://www.botforkalshi.com/llms.txt Last updated: 2026-09-08 --- ## About Bot for Kalshi is a web application that lets users build, test, run, and manage automated trading bots for Kalshi.com — a CFTC-regulated US exchange for event contracts. Users connect their Kalshi account via API key, configure bots with custom rules, test them in paper mode, and the engine executes trades on their behalf according to those rules. **Operating model:** Non-custodial. The company never holds user funds, never has withdrawal access from Kalshi accounts, and users can revoke API access in one click from Kalshi at any time. The product is independent software; not affiliated with Kalshi Inc. **Pricing:** One Complete plan at $99 per month. Payment is required; there is no free trial. The live pricing page and checkout show the exact first charge and recurring price before payment. Subscriptions renew monthly and can be canceled through the Stripe customer portal or in-app billing page; access continues through the close of the paid billing period. **Included:** The AI and visual builders, Paper mode, live operation, hosted execution, and configurable risk controls. The product shows supported inputs and limits. Risk checks can reduce or reject new exposure but cannot guarantee a maximum realized loss, exit, fill, price, or uninterrupted service. **Availability:** Web-based. A verified, eligible Kalshi account is required. Kalshi supports users in many countries but restricts some jurisdictions; each user must confirm that both Kalshi and automated trading are lawful and available where they trade. **Human support and education:** Product support is asynchronous through email and account tickets. The primary recurring human-led event is one free monthly group webinar with a live build and open Q&A: https://www.botforkalshi.com/webinar. A private development call is considered only for a reviewed custom inquiry with a monthly development budget above $1,000; Custom development is separately reviewed work, not another self-serve subscription plan. **Canonical brand:** "Bot for Kalshi" (three words, lowercase "for"). Canonical domain: www.botforkalshi.com. The apex domain (botforkalshi.com) redirects to www. --- ## Who it's for - **Retail Kalshi traders** who want to automate strategies they already run manually - **Algorithmic traders** moving into prediction markets from crypto, sports betting, or quant finance - **Experienced traders** who want consistent, reviewable execution of rules they choose - **Developers** evaluating tools to build on top of or compare against existing open-source bots Not for: people who don't have a Kalshi account, or people looking for trading signals/picks. Bot for Kalshi sells the execution engine, not market calls. --- ## Capabilities ### Frontier models and human review Bot for Kalshi is developed with frontier AI tools, and frontier models power the conversational builder. They help turn a plain-English idea into an editable workflow. Users review the supported inputs, order instructions, and risk limits, then test their rule in Paper mode before deciding whether to trade live. The execution engine follows the saved workflow and applies risk checks. Model output is not a prediction service, evidence of an edge, or a guarantee of a trading result. Model providers and versions can change; no particular model name is a subscription promise. ### Visual bot builder A no-code rule builder for trading bots. The AI can draft a workflow, but the user must inspect the generated rule and confirm every supported input before use. Users specify: - **Entry conditions** — price thresholds, time windows, signal triggers, market filters - **Position sizing** — supported quantity, budget, and sizing settings shown in the builder - **Exit conditions** — supported target, stop, and time-based steps shown in the builder - **Risk caps** — supported account and per-bot controls shown in the current app The customer-facing builder uses limit orders. A limit controls the worst acceptable order price; it does not guarantee a fill or prevent a partial fill. ### Strategies Reviewable examples with documented logic, plus builders for custom rules: - **Strategy examples** — starting points to inspect and adapt, not picks or evidence of an edge - **AI builder** — describe your own rule in plain English and receive a draft workflow for review - **Visual builder** — inspect and edit supported entry/exit logic step by step ### Signal triggers The current in-app catalog is the source of truth for supported triggers. It includes: - **Kalshi markets** — price thresholds and time-to-close or time-of-day conditions, normally evaluated on roughly 30-second engine cycles when the service and exchange are available - **Sports** — selected ESPN game events for NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and soccer; player injury/status headlines for NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL. Game-event data uses a 60-second scoreboard cache and a 10-second play-by-play cache once a game is live; injury news uses a 120-second cache. Upstream publication and availability still control freshness. - **Weather and geophysical events** — today's NWS forecast high/low thresholds at supported stations, NWS active alerts, USGS earthquakes, and NHC hurricanes. NWS data is cached, forecast issuance is not tick-by-tick, and unsupported stations or unavailable feeds do not fire. - **Markets and filings** — crypto or equity spot-price thresholds, SEC 8-K filings, earnings results, and BTC volatility/Bollinger conditions. Each source has its own cache and availability boundary. - **Civic data** — exactly two USPollingData.com aggregates: Trump job-approval percentage and the generic-ballot Democratic-minus-Republican spread. The source updates daily and the product caches it for one hour; arbitrary candidate-race polling is not supported. Keyword/RSS triggers are disabled and not deployable. The product also does not currently include CPI, jobs-report, Fed-funds-futures, EIA, ICE-futures, AAA-gasoline, sportsbook-consensus, election-model, candidate-race polling, or cross-contract-divergence evaluators. Custom code may use authorized sources outside the in-app catalog. ### Risk controls - **Daily loss control (account-level)** — can reject new buys after the configured realized-loss threshold; exits may continue, and the control cannot cap every form of loss - **Per-bot stop conditions** — can request an exit when configured conditions pass, without guaranteeing fill, price, or timing - **Position controls (account-level)** — pre-trade checks can reject or reduce new exposure - **API key safety** — users retain the ability to revoke API access from Kalshi directly. We never have withdrawal permissions. ### Paper trading Bot Builder bots can run in Paper mode against live Kalshi prices before going live. A user chooses a virtual starting balance, and eligible actions create modeled orders, fees, positions, and P&L in a durable Paper Account. Paper funds have no cash value, never move money, never submit orders to Kalshi, and remain separate from the user's Kalshi portfolio. Paper results do not predict live results. ### Bot Catalog (public) A public catalog of 35+ open-source Kalshi bots, frameworks, and SDKs maintained as a reference for the ecosystem. Each bot has its own page with honest notes on strengths and limitations. Includes our own product alongside competing/complementary open-source projects. Available as: - HTML: https://www.botforkalshi.com/bot-catalog - JSON: https://www.botforkalshi.com/api/public/bot-catalog - CSV: https://www.botforkalshi.com/api/public/bot-catalog.csv Free to use; attribution appreciated. ### Public research tools (free, no signup) The tools hub at https://www.botforkalshi.com/tools contains calculators and read-only live scanners: - Whale Tracker: https://www.botforkalshi.com/tools/kalshi-whale-tracker — groups recent large fills into per-market YES/NO flow - Prediction Market Fee Calculator: https://www.botforkalshi.com/tools/prediction-market-fee-calculator — published Kalshi, Gemini, and Polymarket order-fee math with dated sources and explicit assumptions - Kelly Calculator: https://www.botforkalshi.com/tools/kalshi-kelly-calculator — fractional-Kelly position sizing - Biggest Movers: https://www.botforkalshi.com/tools/kalshi-biggest-movers — recent repricing with spread and volume filters - Weather Edge: https://www.botforkalshi.com/tools/kalshi-weather-edge — public forecasts compared with matching daily-high markets The scanners are research surfaces, not bot triggers. They never place trades. In particular, the Whale Tracker is read-only; automatically trading whale flow requires a custom data integration today. --- ## How it works (end-to-end user journey) 1. **Start with the webinar or review live pricing** at or . People who are already ready can use [direct checkout](https://www.botforkalshi.com/checkout?plan=complete&source=llms_full), which starts the Complete plan at $99/month and shows the exact first charge and recurring price before payment. 2. **Connect Kalshi** — generate an API key from Kalshi.com and paste it into the in-app credential form. Keys are encrypted at rest. 3. **Build a bot** — create a custom bot in the visual builder, with risk caps and paper/live mode controls 4. **Test in paper mode** — run against live Kalshi prices without using real money. Adjust parameters based on observed behavior. 5. **Go live** — flip the bot to live mode; the engine starts placing orders through the user's own Kalshi account 6. **Monitor and adjust** — the dashboard shows activity plus reconciled position, P&L, and trade-history data. Update timing depends on the engine, exchange, and upstream services. Bots can be paused or edited through the product; users should verify open orders and positions directly at Kalshi after any stop request. --- ## Frequently asked questions ### What controls can limit risk? Account-level pre-trade loss and position caps can reject or reduce new buys, and per-bot stop conditions can request an exit. These controls cannot eliminate losses or guarantee an exit, fill, price, or uninterrupted service. Open positions remain at Kalshi. You keep control of your Kalshi account, we never custody funds or have withdrawal access, and you can revoke API access through Kalshi. ### Does Bot for Kalshi provide picks or promise an edge? No. The product is an execution tool for rules the user chooses. It does not provide personalized financial advice, guarantee a profitable strategy, or eliminate trading risk. ### What is Kalshi and what do I need to start? Kalshi is a CFTC-regulated US exchange for trading event contracts — yes/no markets on real-world outcomes like elections, weather, economic data, and sports. To use Bot for Kalshi you need an eligible, verified Kalshi account, API credentials, and a funded Kalshi balance. We never touch your funds — your bot trades through your own Kalshi account. ### Do I need to know how to trade or code? No coding is required, but you remain responsible for understanding the rules, markets, and risks you choose. The AI builder turns a plain-English description into a draft workflow for your review. Paper mode lets you observe that workflow against live Kalshi prices before deciding whether to enable real-money operation; paper results do not predict live results. ### What if Kalshi goes down? Bots are designed to fail closed rather than blindly send orders into an unreachable or unstable API. Open positions stay open at Kalshi (we don't touch your account), and users can pause or revoke API access from Kalshi directly at any time. ### How do I cancel? One click in your billing page, or directly via Stripe's customer portal. No retention call, no support form. The subscription cancels at the end of the current billing period and your bots stop running. ### Can I book a private demo or support call? The normal product path is self-serve, support is handled by email or account ticket, and the monthly group webinar is the main live introduction. A private development call is considered only after review of a custom inquiry whose monthly development budget is above $1,000. It is not standard onboarding or individualized trading advice. ### Is Bot for Kalshi affiliated with Kalshi Inc.? No. Bot for Kalshi is independent third-party software that integrates with Kalshi via Kalshi's public API. Kalshi Inc. has not endorsed, sponsored, or reviewed this product. ### Where is Bot for Kalshi available? The service is web-based and requires an eligible, verified Kalshi account. Kalshi supports users in many countries and restricts some jurisdictions. Eligibility, local law, market access, and automation rules can change, so users must check Kalshi's current Member Agreement and their own circumstances. --- ## Pillar guides (in-depth long-form content) For comprehensive coverage of specific topics, the blog publishes pillar guides: - **The Complete Guide to Kalshi Trading Bots (2026)** — https://www.botforkalshi.com/blog/kalshi-trading-bots-complete-guide Full reference on how Kalshi bots work, types of strategies, evaluating tools, and avoiding common mistakes. - **How to Make Money on Kalshi: Tips, Edges and Mistakes (2026)** — https://www.botforkalshi.com/blog/how-to-make-money-on-kalshi Strategy and bankroll guide for traders new to event contracts. - **7 Kalshi Trading Strategies, Explained (2026)** — https://www.botforkalshi.com/blog/kalshi-trading-strategies-guide Catalog of trading strategies that work on Kalshi-style binary event markets, with examples. - **AI & Automation in Prediction Markets: The 2026 Landscape** — https://www.botforkalshi.com/blog/ai-prediction-market-trading Overview of how AI and automation are reshaping prediction-market trading. --- ## Comparison and review content - **Is Kalshi Legit?
