Affiliate Program Terms
These Affiliate Program Terms ("Affiliate Terms") govern your participation in the Bot for Kalshi affiliate program (the "Program"). They sit on top of and incorporate the general Terms of Service that govern your use of the Service. By claiming an affiliate code or otherwise participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Affiliate Terms. If you do not agree, do not claim a code.
1. Eligibility
To participate in the Program, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract.
- Have a valid Bot for Kalshi account in good standing.
- Not reside in or be a national of any country subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, and not appear on any U.S. government list of restricted parties (including the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals list).
- Comply with all applicable laws — including the U.S. FTC's endorsement guides, the CAN-SPAM Act for email outreach, and state-level disclosure requirements where you operate.
The Program is currently available only to participants who can receive payment in U.S. dollars via U.S. ACH or Stripe Connect. We may expand internationally over time.
2. The Program
The Program lets you ("Affiliate", "you") earn a commission by referring new paying customers to Bot for Kalshi through a unique affiliate link. The Program is in pilot mode through July 4, 2026. After the pilot ends we may extend the Program, change the commission rate or other terms, or discontinue the Program entirely. We will give every active Affiliate at least 30 days' written notice (to the email on your kalshi_bot account) before any material change or wind-down. Signups your link drives before the effective date of a change remain governed by the terms in force at the time of signup.
3. Your affiliate code & link
- Self-serve claim. You may claim one affiliate code per account through /affiliate/start. Codes are 3-20 alphanumeric characters and must be available. Some codes are reserved (brand names, generic terms like "admin"/"support", press/investor placeholders). Code claims are first-come, first-served.
- Link format. Your link is
botforkalshi.com/r/<YOURCODE>. Clicking it sets a 90-day first-party cookie that attributes any subsequent signup to your code. - One code per account. We don't support multi-code accounts in v1. If you need a different code for a specific placement, append a UTM parameter (e.g.
?utm_source=instagram-bio) — the dashboard breaks performance out by source. - No transfer. Codes are personal. You may not sell, transfer, or sublicense your code or your share of the Program to anyone else.
- No code changes after claim. Each code carries 90 days of click attribution history, so renaming would orphan attribution. We won't change a code except in narrow circumstances at our sole discretion (e.g. trademark complaints from a third party). If you really need a different code, email support@botforkalshi.com.
4. Commission & customer discount
- Commission. One-time $33 per Qualifying Signup (defined below). Paid in U.S. dollars.
- Customer discount. $33 off the customer's first month, applied automatically at Stripe Checkout when they sign up through your link. The customer is otherwise billed at our then-current standard subscription price ($99/month at the effective date of these terms).
- First month only. The commission and discount apply only to the customer's first month. There is no recurring revenue share, no commission on month two or beyond, and no commission on renewals or upgrades.
- No commission on existing customers. If a person already had a Bot for Kalshi account (paid or free) at the time they click your link, you do not earn a commission on any later purchase they make.
- No commission on yourself. Self-referrals (a signup by an account you control or use, including a household member sharing payment) do not qualify. See §10.
5. Qualifying signup
A signup qualifies for a commission only when all of the following are true:
- The visitor clicked your
/r/<YOURCODE>link and the resultingaff_codecookie was still valid (i.e. set within the last 90 days) when they completed checkout. - They were not a Bot for Kalshi customer before that click.
- They completed Stripe Checkout and successfully paid their first month.
- 14 calendar days have elapsed since that first payment without a refund, chargeback, fraud flag, or termination of their account by us for cause.
- The signup does not violate §10 of these Terms.
While conditions (1)-(3) are met, the commission is shown as "accrued" in your dashboard. Once (4) is also met, it moves to "qualified" and becomes payable on the next scheduled payout.
6. Attribution window
Attribution is last-touch within 90 days. If a visitor clicks affiliate links from two different affiliates within 90 days and then signs up, the commission goes to whichever affiliate's link they clicked most recently. We don't operate a multi-touch attribution model and don't split commissions between affiliates.
The 90-day window starts at the most recent click. Each new click on your link resets the clock to 90 days from that click.
7. Clawbacks & voids
A previously-accrued or qualified commission may be reversed if:
- The customer requests and receives a refund.
- The payment is reversed by chargeback.
- We discover the signup violated §10 (prohibited conduct), regardless of when it qualified.
- The customer's account is closed for fraud, abuse, or violation of our general Terms within the first month.
Clawbacks reduce your accrued balance. If a clawback reduces your balance below zero, the negative balance is carried forward and offset against future commissions.
8. Payment
- Schedule. Qualified bounties are paid out on the first business day of each month, covering all bounties that qualified at any point during the prior calendar month.
- Minimum payout. $25. If your qualified balance is below $25 on a payout date, the balance rolls to the next cycle.
- Method. ACH (United States) or Stripe Connect, at your choice. You provide payout details once you've claimed your first commission; we'll prompt you in the dashboard.
- Currency. All payments are made in U.S. dollars.
- Forfeiture. If you go 24 months without any new qualifying signup activity and we cannot reach you at your account email to confirm payout details, any accrued (un-qualified) balance is forfeited.
9. Taxes & reporting
- W-9. If you are a U.S. person and your cumulative commissions in a calendar year reach $600, we are required by IRS rules to collect a Form W-9 from you before issuing further payments. We'll prompt you in the dashboard at the appropriate time.
- 1099-NEC. If we pay you $600 or more in a calendar year we will issue a Form 1099-NEC reflecting the total paid that year, sent to the address on your W-9 and filed with the IRS.
- Non-U.S. participants. Required to provide a Form W-8 BEN (individual) or W-8 BEN-E (entity). The Program is not currently open to participants who cannot receive U.S. ACH or Stripe Connect payments.
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for reporting your commission income on your own tax returns and paying any income, self-employment, sales, value-added, or other taxes due. We do not withhold taxes from commission payments.
10. Prohibited conduct
You may not, and may not authorize any third party to:
- Self-refer. Use your own affiliate link to sign up an account you control or that benefits you economically. Sharing payment with a household member who uses your link is treated as a self-referral.
- Stuff or simulate clicks. Drive traffic via click bots, click farms, paid-to-click services, pop-unders, iframe loading, browser extensions that auto-load the link, or any other mechanism not involving a real human deciding to click.
- Misrepresent the product. Make false or misleading claims about Bot for Kalshi, including but not limited to guaranteed returns, no-risk trading, endorsement by Kalshi or any regulator, partnership with Anthropic, or any other false affiliation.
- Misrepresent the Program. Tell customers the discount is larger than it is, or that the program is anything other than what these terms describe.
- Bid on our brand keywords. Run paid-search ads (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.) that bid on the terms "bot for kalshi", "botforkalshi", "kalshi_bot", or close variants. Bidding on generic terms like "kalshi bots" or "automated kalshi trading" is permitted.
- List on coupon/deal aggregators. Publish your code on RetailMeNot, Honey, Slickdeals, Groupon, or similar coupon sites. The program is for affiliates who build their own audience, not to harvest visitors searching for our brand + "coupon".
- Spam. Send unsolicited bulk email containing your link. Email outreach must comply with the CAN-SPAM Act, including a working unsubscribe link, a valid physical address, and accurate "from" / "subject" lines.
- Manipulate reviews. Post fake reviews on third-party sites, or compensate others to post reviews that contain your link without disclosure.
- Misuse trademarks. Register domains, social-media handles, or app store listings that include "Bot for Kalshi", "BotForKalshi", or a confusingly similar mark.
- Defame Kalshi. The Program is about Bot for Kalshi (an independent service). Don't make false statements about Kalshi Inc. or about prediction markets generally.
- Promote in inappropriate contexts. Don't post your link in contexts where prediction-market trading is regulated, prohibited, or against the host's terms (e.g. employer Slack workspaces without permission, religious groups, communities for vulnerable populations).
We reserve the right to determine in our reasonable judgment whether activity violates this section. Activity that violates this section voids the commission (see §7) and may result in suspension or termination (see §15).
11. Marketing & disclosure
You must comply with the FTC's Endorsement Guides when promoting the Program. Practically this means:
- Clearly disclose the affiliate relationship when posting your link. Acceptable formats include "#ad", "#sponsored", "affiliate link", "I get a commission if you sign up", or platform-native disclosures (Instagram's "Paid partnership", YouTube's "Paid promotion" toggle).
- Disclose before the link, not buried at the end of a thread or in a sidebar.
- If you write a review, the disclosure must accompany every post that contains your link, not just the first.
- Tag your link with UTM parameters via the Share & Promote page so you can track which placements work — there's no rule, just a suggestion.
12. Trademark license
For the duration of your participation in the Program, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the name "Bot for Kalshi" and the official logo (downloadable from /affiliate/creatives once it's wired up) solely for the purpose of promoting your affiliate link to drive signups. You may not:
- Modify, redraw, or stylize the logo.
- Use our marks in domain names, app names, social-media handles, or business names.
- Imply that you are an employee, agent, or official partner of Bot for Kalshi.
- Use our marks in a way that suggests endorsement of you, your company, or your other products.
13. Confidentiality of referee data
Your dashboard shows masked information about referees you've driven (e.g. j***e@gmail.com) along with their signup date and payout status. This information is confidential. You may not:
- Attempt to de-anonymize a referee.
- Use referee data for any purpose other than verifying your own commissions.
- Contact a referee using information visible in the dashboard, including via the un-masked email if you somehow obtain it.
- Share, sell, transfer, or publish referee data.
For more on what we collect and what you see, read the Affiliate Privacy Notice.
14. Independent contractor
You are an independent contractor with respect to the Program. Nothing in these Affiliate Terms creates an employment, partnership, joint-venture, agency, or franchise relationship between you and Bot for Kalshi. You have no authority to bind Bot for Kalshi to any agreement or representation. You are not entitled to any benefits offered to employees. You are responsible for your own tools, equipment, expenses, and tax obligations.
15. Suspension & termination
- By you. You may withdraw from the Program at any time by emailing support@botforkalshi.com or by asking us to deactivate your code from /affiliate. Any qualified commissions remain payable; un-qualified (accrued) balances will continue through the 14-day window and either qualify or be voided per the normal rules.
- By us, for cause. We may suspend or terminate your participation immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms, abuse the Program, harm our customers, or take action that materially damages our brand. We may withhold and forfeit any accrued or qualified balance attributable to the violation.
- By us, without cause. We may end your participation, or the Program itself, on 30 days' written notice to your account email. In that case all then-qualified commissions are paid out on the next scheduled cycle, and accrued (un-qualified) balances are honored if they meet the qualifying conditions before the wind-down date.
16. Indemnification & liability
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bot for Kalshi, its affiliates, officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, or damages (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) your participation in the Program, (b) your marketing of the Program (including FTC, CAN-SPAM, IP, and similar violations), (c) your breach of these Affiliate Terms, or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
The limitations of liability in the general Terms apply to the Program. Our total cumulative liability to you under or in connection with the Program, regardless of theory, is limited to the total commissions actually paid to you in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or $200, whichever is greater.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Affiliate Terms at any time. We will email every active Affiliate at least 30 days before a material change takes effect (immaterial changes — typo fixes, clarifications that don't change a substantive obligation — take effect immediately and are noted by an updated effective date above). Continued participation in the Program after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the change.
Signups your link drove before the effective date of a change remain governed by the version of these Terms in effect at the time of the signup.
18. Governing law & arbitration
These Affiliate Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah (without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions). Any dispute arising under or related to the Program is subject to the arbitration and class-action waiver provisions of our general Terms of Service, which are incorporated here by reference.
